Original Little Giant Type 1A ladders are available in four different sizes: Model 13, Model 17, Model 22, and Model 26, each with a different maximum extension height. Made of heavy-wall 6005-T5 aluminum, the Little Giant is ultra-strong but light and portable. It is government-rated to hold up to 300 pounds but has survived stress tests up to 1,200 pounds with no structural failure. The ladder system can be configured into 32 working positions: 4 stepladders, 7 extension ladders, 2 individual stepladders, scaffolding supports in 4 height positions, and a ladder for use against the wall in 3 height positions and in stairwells in 12 height positions. It takes roughly 12 stepladders, extension ladders, and multi-position ladders to do what one Type 1A Little Giant Ladder can do. These configurations are possible because the Little Giant Ladder System features: - Lock tabs which allow the front and back inner sections of the ladder to slide up and down in the outer base section. These inner sections can be pulled out to create two independent stepladders.
