In the summer of '97 I had the privilege of meeting Corey Harris, who opened for B.B. King (whom I also met), here in Spokane. From the time he picked up his acoustic guitar to the time he finished his last number, Harris blew me away with his Delta Blues. His simple, down-to-earth raspy blues voice gives his music a very personal feel. The Kansas City Star said, "The sound Harris wrenched from his acoustic guitar seemed to hang in the air and quiver like the flaking paint on the walls. One could glance from Robert Johnson's photograph to Harris hunched over his guitar and for a moment IMAGINE ONE OF THE GREAT EARLY DELTA BLUES MUSICIANS HAD COME BACK TO LIFE." And boy, that's exactly what I heard!

Between Midnight and Day was recorded in 1994 and of Harris' collection, this CD is my personal favorite. Every song on this CD is inspirational, and after you hear it, I believe you will agree with me.
