Description

The Solo 637-14BC Top-Handle Compact Chainsaw is a perfectly balanced chainsaw and the 40cc nickel/silicon-coated cylinder provides an abundance of power for this small unit. The 2-cycle 2.58-HP engine, 3/8-inch low profile chain pitch, and 8.1-pound weight allow greater control and reduce fatigue. The unit features an auto oiler, anti-vibration system, .67 pint fuel tank, and two-year warranty.

This Solo 637-14BC is equipped with a three-shoe pro clutch, standard for maximum power transmission to the chain. The chain brake handle area is enlarged to permit increased mobility for larger gloved hands. Guards and a new on/off switch prevent inadvertent shut-down.

Solo's new design incorporates features demanded by arborists, "bucket" sawyers, orchardists, those involved in high-intensity trimming/pruning, and individuals who need the special characteristics of a top-handle saw. The top handle is designed so that the saw balance point is directly under the throttle handle. In addition to safety interlock, the throttle handle has a "thumb" rest for additional control.

A low-profile chain brake/hand guard, high-angle handgrip, and low-profile horizontal engine allow cutting in difficult-to-reach locations. The 637-14BC includes a built-in "eye" for each attachment of a safety clip or drop line.
